Hersonissos Superior Rent a Car

Many years ago, Hersonissos was just a small fishing port, serving only the needs of local inhabitants. Over the years, the port grew, and the village became a town based mainly on tourism and agriculture. On the west side of the coastal road, you will find Sarantaris Cape with the picturesque church of Agios Georgios and the bays of Limanakia, which continue to the east coast. Hersonissos is not just about the port and the seaside promenade; the town also offers boat trips, outdoor activities, sightseeing, and beach hopping. Lychnostatis Open Air Museum was founded in 1992 by Giorgos Markakis and is dedicated to preserving the Cretan customs and traditions by delving deeper into history and culture. Guests will experience the world of Greek and Cretan crafts and visit a winery, an oil mill, an apiary, a shepherd's hut, and a replica of a traditional Cretan family's home. The museum draws everyone interested in the history and culture of the island and functions as a guide to Crete's past.

From Agios Georgios Chapel, you will find the Limanakia of Hersonissos with their splendid coves and beaches. To the east of Limanakia, you can get to Kastri hill, west of which the main town actually begins. On the hill, you can admire the ruins of the 5th-century Christian basilica of Kastri, featuring several mosaics, relics, and ornaments. Just to the south of the Basilica, there is the picturesque Church of Agia Paraskevi, part of which is built into the rock. The Church overlooks the entire port of Hersonissos with its spectacular lighthouse. From Hersonissos Port, boats depart to the islet of Dia as well as to surrounding bays and coves.

Car Hire Koutouloufari

A must-do activity when visiting Hersonissos is visiting the traditional village of Koutouloufari, situated atop the hill. This stunning location is only a short distance from the bustling waterfront; you will fall in love as you stroll through its winding alleyways because of its serene and traditional character. Situated at a height of 100 meters on the slope of Mount Pyrgias, Koutouloufari is a traditional village with approximately 600 residents. Koutouloufari's charming paved alleyways and its historic Cretan houses draw tourists who want to be close to the busiest tourist destination in Crete but yet want to be in a tranquil, traditional setting with a beautiful view of the Sea of Crete.

Koutouloufari Village Holiday Club is the main grand hotel complex in the village that offers suites, family rooms, traditional stone houses, a luxurious restaurant, and even an open-air cinema. It is highly preferred by families with children and groups of friends who want to enjoy a tranquil stay in a mountainous location close to Hersonissos' bustling town. Rent a car in Koutouloufari and explore its surrounding villages and mountainous areas with your loved ones and enjoy the real Cretan nature. Imperial Car Rental has you covered with a reliable car hire in Hersonissos and Koutouloufari.

Car Rental Analipsi

Analipsi is located near Anisaras village and 5 km away from Old Chersonissos Center. Analipsi differs from the neighboring coastal settlements because the tourist development started much later here than in Hersonissos. For this reason, Analipsi maintained its traditional Cretan atmosphere and natural sceneries, which consist of olive groves, farmlands, and stone houses with lush gardens. When arriving at Analipsi Beach, the first thing you notice is the picturesque church that is built almost next to the sea. Take a photo of the landscape and of your family to keep the memories alive.

East of the church is the main beach of Analipsi, a long sandy beach with umbrellas, sun loungers, a beach bar, showers and toilets, and watersport facilities. West of the church, you will find a pebbly beach which is ideal for relaxation, diving, and swimming or a pleasant walk under the tamarisk trees. Tritonas, a traditional Greek taverna, is one of the highest-quality restaurants in Analipsi. It is set in an idyllic seaside location and offers handmade mezedes and fresh fish. Moving west, you will come across a small harbor with a sandy beach that is suitable for swimming, especially when the wind conditions are favorable. At the end of the road, there is another sandy beach next to the estuary of the Aposelemis River, which is ideal for watersports and hiking in the river area.

Anissaras Car Rental

Anissaras is a seaside village on the northeast coast of Crete. It is located in the wider tourist area of Hersonissos, on the promontory of Hersonissos, and is an area of exceptional beauty that stretches along the beachfront of the Municipality of Hersonissos. The biggest benefit of Anissaras is that it's a really pleasant place to be without the loudness of Hersonissos' nightlife. The little resort of Anissaras is the ideal option if you're searching for a more upscale experience in Crete that is both comfortable and serene but conveniently located near Hersonissos' bustling entertainment area.

Anissaras's main attraction is its astounding selection of opulent resorts and hotels, most of which have great amenities and private pools. Anissaras also has the picturesque small chapel of Agios Georgios set on Hersonisson promontory. Even if the majority of Anissaras' beaches were built artificially along the rocky shore, you would still fall in love with them. The major beach, which has beautiful sand and crystal-clear water, is situated along the northern shore and is well-organized and ideal for families with children as well as for watersport enthusiasts. Saradari Beach is less visited than Anissaras but is equally beautiful and attracts visitors during summer. Coral Diving Center is the best for diving experiences and scuba diving lessons.
