Dalaman International Terminal features the third largest terminal in Turkey, with 12 gates and eight airbridges. With the capacity to handle up to 35 direct flights at a time, this terminal was opened in 2018 to cope with Turkey's growing tourism industry. Designed by renowned Turkish architect Emre Arolat, the terminal covers an area of 95,000 square meters. In 2018, when the new terminal opened, the old terminal was designated for domestic flights only. Terminal 2 is only used for international flights, while Terminal 1 is used for domestic flights.
